Sunday, June 7, is the anniversary of three important events: the Birth, the Enlightenment, and the Passing into Parinirvana by Shakyamuni Buddha.
We consider on this day positive and negative actions are multiplied by one million times.
In Namdroling Monastery, the sangha (community) of Monks and Nuns are completing a week-long prayer intensive known as the Great Accomplishment Group Practice of Kama Teachings (Kama Drupchen).
This is followed by Ritual Dance (Cham) and the hanging of a 180-foot painting (Thangka) of Shakyamuni Buddha.
A Fire Offering Puja is held as well.

What more enlightenment do you want?

When you don’t have obsessions,
when you don’t have hang-ups,
when you don’t have inhibitions,
when you are not affraid
you will be breaking some rules.
When you are not affraid
you will not fullfill somebody’s expectations.
What more enlightenment do you want?
That’s it!

Quando você não tem idéias fixas,
quando você não tem pendências,
quando você não tem inibições,
quando você não tem medo,
você infringirá algumas regras.
Quando você não tem medo,
você não vai cobrir as expectativas de ninguém.
Que outra iluminação você quer?
